How does a project come to life? What does it take to create it?
A new project always starts with a process of observation and experimenting. For example; making mood boards and digital sketches. But first I would like to get to know my client or subject better. Noticing the unfolding stories around them. Using all of my senses, seeing the patterns. Then I connect them and if needed rearrange them. This literally translates itself into visuals that are best described as ‘collage style pieces’.
This way of working applies to my personal work as well as the projects I take on as a graphic designer. Therefore I, Mrs Fineart always prefers to meet with someone (via a video call or in person) before taking on a new project.
This is how the process of creating a new brand design looks like
1. BRIEF / ANALYSIS
In this phase, it is crucial for Naomi to get as much information as possible about both you and your project/business. Its the foundation on which we build a successful creation process.
2. your BRAND persona
Why is it so important to move the world with your message?
We will select or create a mood board based on your underlying wishes & emotions. So you can build a persona for yourself and create an ideal client persona around the visualisation.
This will help you to tell a consistent and powerful story.
3. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AS YOUR ROADMAP
We will map out the journey your customers (will) make.
All the places where your brand comes to life and when and where a potential customer comes into contact with your story and brand.
This is the key to what visuals you need for your brand identity.
4. VISUALISATION PROCESS
Now we will visualize the look, feel and soul of your brands identity through another set of mood boards.
5. DESIGN CONCEPTS
So now we are definitely on the same page. We have all the ingredients. This is the part where dreams become reality.
Now Naomi will make a first translation for your new visual identity. Through the process we explore different options and choose what fits best with your ambitions and your ideal client.
6. DESIGN DELIVERY
The time has finally come to finalize your chosen design concept. And to deliver your brand identity.
Complete with an explanation/brand book so that you can start implementing your new design right away.
I worked on this project as artdirector. GROW festival whas a project of the Floriade Expo 2022. They created this festival to connect millennials to sustainability.
